Corinne

My name is Corinne, and I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward safety, strength, and renewed confidence. As a mother of two and a survivor of domestic abuse, I understand first-hand how challenging and overwhelming life can feel when you are trying to survive and rebuild after trauma.

My lived experience, combined with professional training, allows me to offer empathetic, non-judgmental support to those affected by domestic abuse. I hold a Level 2 qualification in Awareness and Understanding of Domestic Abuse, as well as Child Protection Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. These qualifications strengthen my ability to support both adults and children with care, sensitivity, and safeguarding at the forefront.

I am passionate about helping survivors rediscover their sense of identity, self-worth, and independence. I believe that every woman deserves the opportunity to feel safe, heard, and empowered to be herself again — free from fear and control. Healing is not linear, but with the right support, understanding, and encouragement, there is always hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

Through this platform, my goal is to provide guidance, reassurance, and practical support to those experiencing or recovering from domestic abuse. You are not alone, and your story matters. Together, we can take steps toward healing, confidence, and a brighter future.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse or needs support, please reach out. You deserve to feel safe, supported, and understood. Whether you are seeking guidance, emotional support, or simply someone to listen, help is available. Take the first step today — you do not have to face this journey alone.

Heather

Hi, I’m Heather – The Brain Trainer™ and I help people THINK differently about the things in their lives.

Overcoming pesky mental blocks, thoughts, ideas and beliefs, that are holding you back, keep you stuck in an anxiety loop and stopping you from waltzing down your life’s path with ease and swagger.

Using my tried and tested brain training exercises that mentally, emotionally and spiritually free you from habits and behaviours that have become your automatic and go to pattern. The brain is very powerful… yet subtle, working in the background of your life, maintaining and protecting the current programme that YOU set.

I love working individually with clients as it gives me the access to the specific story and key moments that have built your beliefs. Using a mix of psychology, emotional reading, body language, language cues, brain know-how, I tailor confidential, goal orientated (and fun!) sessions for my clients who leave more confident, in control and with their BRAIN TRAINED.

Luke

Hi I’m Luke, I was an alcohol & cocaine addict for 20 years.

I have also been through past traumas & know what it’s like to struggle with emotions.
I spent time in CGL, CBT, AA, NA & CA.

It wasn’t until I attended a recovery programme where I learnt all about AVRT (Addictive Voice Recognition Technique) that I broke free from my addictions. Later becoming a member of the team on that recovery programme, helping others still on the programme.

I am now almost 3 years drink & drug free. I am now also a mental health first aider in my place of work, with my employer recognising my passion in helping others to overcome their addictions.

For me, there is no better feeling than seeing hope return in the eyes of others.
For every person I help, I feel I’m giving a little bit back for the help I received in winning my life back.

I look forward to helping you on your journey to becoming the best version of yourself.

Kirsty

I bring powerful lived experience, empathy, and understanding to the work I do supporting others.

After struggling with addiction for many years, I found the strength to reach out for help and begin my own recovery journey. Today, I am over four years clean and sober, and my life has been completely transformed.

Alongside my recovery, I also faced and overcame postnatal depression, giving me a deep personal understanding of the emotional challenges many people experience during motherhood and early family life.

Through my own journey, I have developed a strong understanding of recovery, resilience, and personal change. I know first-hand how difficult it can be to take that first step, but also how powerful the transformation can be when someone feels supported, understood, and not judged.

I am passionate about supporting others who may be struggling, particularly those facing addiction, mental health challenges, or postnatal depression. My approach is compassionate, honest, and grounded in real-life experience.

I believe that recovery and healing are possible for everyone, and I am committed to helping others find the strength, tools, and confidence to rebuild their lives.

Recovery. I could only have dreamed of where I am today. Back in August 2022, after years of torture in my own mind, masking over the pain I had inside with alcohol, cocaine, and gambling, my children not really wanting to see me, and being put up on my brother’s couch, I finally asked for help.

After trying to stop on my own for so long, I admitted I needed help before I ultimately ended my life through addiction, as it was the only place it was taking me. My journey was not easy. You have to put the work in, become vulnerable, be honest, and dig deep.

At the start, I was a shell of the man, dad, son, and brother I am today. I was broken, angry, frustrated, miserable, unreliable, untrustworthy, a liar, tormented, snappy, anxious, depressed, and suicidal. I resented my children. I hated what I had become. I was a monster. I hated my life and everything in it. I hated myself and would call myself a screw-up daily, and I would just want to die. That was my addiction.

I thought there was no hope for me, until I asked for help — the bravest thing anyone can do — and that changed my life. I was given HOPE and belief, something I didn’t ever have.

Belief in myself. That alone personally meant more than anything. It spurred me on. Fighting addiction, I developed the tools I needed — the awareness, the separation.

My life and my recovery have been truly unbelievable. I am honest, trustworthy, reliable, healthy, wealthy, calm, rational, proactive, productive, and grateful. I am drink, drug, and gamble-free, and that is my decision for life.

My plan will never change under any circumstances. I’m under no illusion about what drink, drugs, or gambling offers me. The equation is simple. I know the ending, and I know I will never go through that ever again. My mum has her son back. My kids have a dad I could only have dreamed of as a child. I am a fun uncle and nephew.

It’s strange, people coming to me for a talk or advice, as just over three years ago, I wasn’t reliable enough or present. I’m grateful for that. My kids have a fun, reliable, ever-present daddy. Work is great. Relationships are great. Life is simple but amazing, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My journey has been priceless.

I’m actually lost for words. I am so proud of who I am and the person I have become. I now believe in myself, and there is nothing in my life I can’t do. I can do anything I want to, when I choose to, on my terms. In December 2024, I relapsed into gambling for a short period of time. From there, what transpired for me has been unbelievable.

In January 2025, I started a healing journey and began trying new things, getting out of my comfort zone. First, it was healing reiki, then I was introduced to breathwork, which has been personally phenomenal in helping regulate my nervous system. From there, I found cold-water dipping, and then I went on a 12-week programme to work on childhood traumas and triggers, getting a better understanding of how to deal with things when they show up in day-to-day life.

It was all part of my process — healing wounds and finding ways to help my nervous system regulate without turning to alcohol, cocaine, or gambling. I could go on and on. It all started with asking for help. My life has done a complete 360, and I’ll be forever grateful for my recovery.

Harry

At just 26, I bring powerful lived experience to What We Think. I have been free from alcohol and cocaine for over two years, having transformed my life through a dedicated recovery journey. Now a qualified CBT practitioner, I volunteer my time to support others walking similar paths. With years of insight, empathy, and lived understanding, I help individuals take meaningful steps toward lasting change – offering real support from someone who truly gets it.

My biggest inspiration is my daughter, Sienna. She gives me strength, purpose, and the motivation to keep growing and giving back. My journey is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s always a light worth fighting for.

Sam

Hi, I’m Sam. I am 46 years old.

I am currently a Family Support Worker/Personal Adviser,

My passion is to help others, for many years I worked as a personal wellbeing coach, supporting people in custody,

On social inclusion, emotional well-being, lifestyle and associates, family and significant others, housing and benefits, I would follow this through and offer them on-the-gate support and continue my support whilst they integrate back into the community

My current role involves assessing parenting skills, monitoring behaviour, writing reports for the courts, and attending hearings.

I have a wide variety of knowledge and skills, and a lot of life experience,
Being a care leaver myself due to physical and emotional abuse, I want people to see that you are someone, you can do this, life’s not easy, let’s break the cycle, let’s regain all control and gain the skill set needed to live a great life, life isn’t easy, but if we work together, anything is possible

Paul

“If I can do it, anyone can.”

After more than 30 years trapped in addiction, I knew something had to change. I was living life somewhere between Peter Pan and a rock legend — always chasing the next thing, putting everything off until tomorrow… except tomorrow never came.

Today I’m 4 years drink and drug free, and my life has completely transformed.
In the first 9 months of recovery, I did more with my life than I had done in the previous 30 years. All the things I used to put off, all the things I thought I’d do “one day” — they finally started happening.

Life is good now. I wake up with purpose, things are moving forward, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.

Now I’m giving back by supporting others who are starting their own recovery journey. I know how dark it can get, but I also know that change is possible.

My message is simple:
If I can do it, anyone can.

Alana

Hey, I’m Alana – an advocate, mentor and expert by experience, dedicated to helping women rebuild their lives after abuse. My passion for this work comes from my own journey of surviving over 10 years in abusive relationships whilst also battling addiction, eating disorders and complex mental health challenges.

After finding the courage to walk away, I made a promise to myself that my pain would one day have a purpose. Today I use my lived experience to support, guide and inspire other women who are finding their way back to themselves.

I believe every woman deserves the chance to rise from the ground up – to rediscover her strength, her voice and her worth. My work focuses on creating safe, empowering spaces where survivors can heal, grow and begin to rebuild with confidence and hope.

Helping women transform their trauma into their triumph isn’t just what I do – its who I am. This is my soul’s purpose, and I am honoured to walk beside others on their journey from surviving to truly thriving.

Scott

I’m Scott, one of the team members to help and support people living in active addiction, to help them create and maintain a healthy, happy life and remove the shackles of addiction.

From a young age, I struggled. Things happened that I couldn’t understand, which is why I turned to alcohol as a way out – an escape – but that soon escalated into a problem. The drugs soon followed, and I ended up in the miserable cycle of addiction. More than 3 and a half years ago, I decided I’d had enough and reached out for help. I changed my life, my mindset, and now I live a life free from the torment that had been swirling around my head.

I lacked hope and belief in myself, and now, my passion is showing people that there is a better life; there is a way out and that all starts here. Here is where we work together to make that happen. Together, we can build a better future. Together, we can build a community for support, and together, we can achieve anything.

Take that jump into the unknown and see what the other side looks like – we can help every step of the way.
